This CMYK silkscreen print, enriched with Letratone patterning, reflects my fascination with the beauty of functional tools and the hands that wield them. Inspired by a visit to a now-closed cobbler’s shop in my local town, the work preserves a moment of skilled labour—an art form often overlooked, yet fundamental to the rhythm of everyday life.

In creating this work, I sought to move beyond mere representation and instead convey the joy and anticipation experienced by children entering such a space.

By re-appropriating these delicate motifs, the work pays homage to a storied past while reimagining tradition for a contemporary audience.
