A practice grounded in attention, perception, and the experience of living

My art practice is rooted in noticing — in paying attention to the moments, details, and encounters that ask to be understood. I work primarily in silkscreen, using the medium’s layered, deliberate process as a way to reflect on my experience of the world. Each print begins with something that resonates: a gesture, an expression, an object, or a fragment of visual culture that lingers long enough to demand a response.

Silkscreen allows me to slow down, distil, and re‑form these moments. The process — designing positives, exposing screens, mixing inks, and building images layer by layer — mirrors the way I think: gradually, reflectively, and through repetition. The physicality of printmaking shapes the work as much as the subject does.

My practice isn’t tied to a single theme. Instead, it moves with my attention, drawing on lived experience, memory, and the subtle dynamics of human connection. Some works explore the construction of images and the mechanics of reproduction; others focus on expression, perception, or the overlooked details of everyday life. Across these shifts, the through‑line remains the same: a desire to understand what resonates and why.

While individual pieces vary in tone and subject, they share a commitment to clarity, focus, and the transformation of the familiar. Whether working with a face, an object, or a fragment of narrative, I use printmaking as a way to make sense of the world — one layer at a time.
